My Garnish Standards ~ The One Rule That Travels
Every recipe card in the house has a pencil note in the margin, and every note is a correction. The twist still gets expressed over the glass, the cherry still gets stemmed by hand, and nobody at the party is allowed to call that fussy. Standards are not a mood. They came with her.
- Who Needs It: The friend who will cheerfully change the base spirit but not the peel.
- When It Comes Out: Dinner party night, the moment someone reaches for the jar of pre-cut lime wedges.
- The Crowd Gets It: Her people have watched her re-cut a garnish twice and said nothing, out of love.
Every great cocktail hour starts with a strong cup of coffee the morning after ~ this glossy ceramic mug comes in white or black, 11 oz or 15 oz, with a comfortable C handle and your favorite pour front and center ~ coffee by day, hot toddy by night, no judgment at this bar
