1933 ~ The Year the Party Came Back
December 5, 1933 is the date Prohibition ended, and she treats it the way other people treat a national holiday, with a classic cocktail and a short speech. The number means nothing to most people and everything to the right one. Her annual Repeal Day gathering has a waiting list.
- Who Knows: The cocktail historian who can date a recipe by its glass.
- When It Shows: Early December, a bar cart dressed for history, a toast to legal pleasure.
- Gift Angle: For the friend who celebrates obscure anniversaries with excellent timing.
Every great cocktail hour starts with a strong cup of coffee the morning after ~ this glossy ceramic mug comes in white or black, 11 oz or 15 oz, with a comfortable C handle and your favorite pour front and center ~ coffee by day, hot toddy by night, no judgment at this bar
